Your JKAS Journey Starts Here
The Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) Examination is conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to recruit officers for the Administrative Services and other prestigious gazetted posts in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It is one of the most sought after competitive examinations for aspirants aspiring to serve in public administration and contribute to the governance and development of the region.
The JKAS Examination is conducted in three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test (Interview). The Preliminary Examination serves as a screening test comprising objective type papers. Candidates who qualify the Prelims are eligible to appear for the Main Examination, which consists of descriptive papers designed to evaluate in depth knowledge, analytical ability, and writing skills. Those who clear the Mains are called for the Personality Test (Interview), where their communication skills, leadership qualities, decision making ability, and overall suitability for public service are assessed.
Success in the JKAS Examination requires a thorough understanding of the prescribed syllabus, consistent preparation, regular practice, and a strategic approach. It offers an opportunity to build a distinguished career in the administrative framework of Jammu & Kashmir while making a meaningful contribution to society.
